Larry was born to Karen Dale Ackerman and Warren Bernard Christopher, Sr. on Thursday, May 22, 1958, at 7:35 A.M. at Memorial Hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan. Larry was brought home to the Sawyer house. Larry had big dimples even as a baby so the nurses nicknamed him "dimples."

Larry's New Condo (Renting)

Larry moved to a new townhome/condo/apartment in August of 2025. It is @2 miles from his old place in Portage but much nicer. It is a three-bedroom condo (they call it a condo even though he is renting) with 2.5 bathrooms, a finished basement and an attached garage. His old place was 2.5 bedrooms, no attached garage nor a finished basement. He is on the end so he only shares walls with one neighbor and his master bedroom is quite large but shares no walls due to the entrance way in between the two condos. Larry has been dealing with some health problems and does not have the basement straightened out yet and is still organizing the computer room/third upstairs bedroom.

Notes: 1) he doesn't make his bed every morning - for shame! 2) he has "Välkommen Til Vårt Hem" (Welcome to Our Home), a Dalarna Horse with Christopher on it and a "Thank you for not smoking" sign at the entrance to his home. They were purchased in the U.S. in Swedish colors and designs. 3) in his living room he has Grandpa Ackerman's mirror (shipwheel) and spindle-legged table he built, Nana's whatnot shelf, glass top serving table and her lamps 4) his master bedroom has blackout shades because he sleeps all hours of the day and night 5) his master bedroom has mom's wicker nightstand 6) when he moved in he had the maintenance guys install 2 elongated toilets, 2 ceiling fans, 2 cabinets in the upstairs bathrooms, faucets in the kitchen and master bathroom. He bought the two kitchen/dining room pantries, and he installed the under-the-counter lights for kitchen because it's dark. He bought and assembled the DVD rack - yes, he has a lot of DVDs, mostly vintage TV series and WWII movies. 7) the map hanging in his living room is filled with photos of his daughters in all 50 states and the 10 Canadian provinces plus the Yukon Territory 8) the entrance from the garage has the "Ackerman" sign that Grandpa made and hung outside his home on Tower Hill Road 9) Duplicate of Nana's harbor painting in the dining room.
